Green Telecom are proud to have a team entered in the Trees for Cities – Tree Athlon.

As a Carbon Positive Company we were excited to be a part of the Trees for Cities charity event, which took place be held in Battersea Park on Saturday 19th September 2009.

Managing Director Steve Hayden commented

‘We have been running a tree planting programme for some time now. So when we heard about the ‘Tree Athlon’ we jumped at the chance to get involved and help make local communities become greener. We hope to raise at least £250 for the charity and I am sure it will be a fun day out for the team’.

On September 19th we were happy to report that we had had beaten our initial goal of £250 by raising £425 for charity.

We would like to thank everyone that supported us or provided a donation.

Trees for Cities is an independent charity working to improve the environment in urban areas by involving local people in community tree planting, training and landscaping projects.
